Hi, I’m Steve đź‘‹
For the past 18 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of product, technology, and storytelling. I work with organizations to turn ambitious ideas into cohesive experiences across games, consumer products, education, and marketing. My job is to understand the problem, define a clear direction, and help talented people do their best work together.
A few highlights along the way
- Led animation for Fetch’s Super Bowl campaign, helping attract 3.2 million livestream viewers and 1.3 million new users in a single day.
- Established Fetch’s illustration and motion design language, crafting the creative foundations used across the product.
- Created GoNoodle’s games and animation content library, now reaching 25.5 million children and used in 83% of U.S. elementary schools.
- Directed over 90 minutes of curriculum content for CharacterStrong’s social-emotional learning program.
- Helped build educational games at iCivics, where products have been played 100 million+ times by more than 5 million students.
- Led animation for the feature documentary Addiction Incorporated.
- Founded Madison’s first motion design meetup to help grow the local creative community.
I’ve learned that exceptional products aren’t built by individuals; they’re built by teams with a shared vision. I help create that alignment, giving designers, engineers, animators, writers, and product partners the clarity and trust they need to contribute their best while building toward something bigger than any one discipline.
I’m happiest working on ambitious problems that require many disciplines to think as one team. That’s where thoughtful leadership makes the biggest difference.
I live in Madison, Wisconsin with my wife. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me exploring Wisconsin campgrounds, traveling, learning Italian & German, or spending an evening playing games with friends.
